Every New Year’s Eve in Vágur, a small village on Suðuroy in the Faroe Islands, an old local tradition comes alive. A torch-lit parade led by villagers winds through the dark streets, the crowd gathers, songs are sung, and then the Viking boat is set on fire as a farewell to the old year and a powerful welcome to the new. Flames consume the wood, sparks rise into the night sky, and the old Viking spirit is kept alive in one powerful moment

This printed photo is made by me from start to finish. From scouting and exploring the landscape, to being out there photographing the scene, editing the image, printing, cutting, packing, and shipping, the whole process stays in my hands. What arrives at your home is authentic and original photography work.
Prints are unsigned by default. Choose “Add hand signature” and I will gladly sign your print by hand in the bottom-right corner. Since most of my photographs have darker tones, I use a subtle light-grey marker so the signature stays clean, discreet, and elegant.
A fine art photography print is more than wall decoration. It can become a quiet visual pause in your day — a little yoga for the mind, bringing mood, atmosphere, and inspiration into your space and thoughts. As home decor, wall art, part of an interior design setting, or a meaningful gift, a good print carries a quiet kind of visual magic.
All photographs are authentic works by Andrija Ilić. No elements are added or removed. The scenery, subject, timing, and ambient light are real. Final refinements such as highlights, shadows, contrast, and colour balance are adjusted in Photoshop.
